Your child grows considerably at the moment you already 6 weeks pregnant are. In this week the neck, head, eyes, nose and ears of your child are formed. Your baby is about 5 to 6 millimeters wide (similar to a sesame seed) and can be discernible with the naked eye. The heart now also starts to beat more regularly and the development of organs such as kidneys, lungs and liver continues.
Blood circulation and face
The heart of your baby is now more regularly beating and the baby now has a primitive circulation. This means that the blood is not yet completely circulated in the body, only a base is laid in this phase. Your baby would not be able to live outside of your womb.
In week five there were small bumps that formed the beginning of the arms and legs. In the sixth week these bumps are already small bulges. Furthermore, the brain develops further (make sure you eat fish!) And the face is gradually developed. Your baby gets a mouth and both jaws. In the jaws are even all the buttons that the milk teeth should form.
Your body at 6 weeks pregnant
In the sixth week it may seem that the hormones take over your body a bit. The pregnancy ailments such as morning sickness, which can also last all day, can worsen just like the headaches, fatigue and the sensitivity of your breasts. It may even be that your breasts are already starting to grow. Furthermore, there is still nothing to see in your body.

An additional ailment is that you have to go to the toilet more often to urinate. Your kidneys are in fact working hard to remove waste products. In addition, it is possible that your growing uterus will press the bladder. Finally, it often happens that women who are 6 weeks pregnant smell better which is not always experienced very positively. But it is also possible that you do not have to suffer from pregnancy ailments.
Check with the midwife
If you have not been to the midwife yet, it is good to do this if you are already 6 weeks pregnant. Also inform your doctor immediately.
Advanced pregnancy tests can indicate how many weeks you have on them. Another way to find out how many weeks you are pregnant is by counting back to the first day of your last menstruation. So this must be 6 weeks ago. If you make an appointment with the midwife, an ultrasound may already be made!
