Recipe: Healthy cheesecake without sugar

This time I have a delicious healthy cake recipe for our pregnant ladies. Personally, I think this cake looks great summery and fresh, perfect for this season. If your baby shower is still in the planning, then this is a delicious healthy cheesecake without sugar to make. Healthy ingredients, delicious filling (1 piece is really enough) and it looks amazing!

Healthy cheesecake full of nutritional value

The advantages of this healthy cheesecake is that it is not just super tasty. That may be clear. I do not think that alone, my 'test panel' also consisted of 10 women. I made this cake for the babyshower of a friend of mine and it was a success.

The second advantage is that this cake is reasonably low in calories (about 240 each, if you divide the cake into 8 pieces). Finally, this cake does not only contain sugar and cream, but more nutritional value. There is protein in what fills delicious and then it also contains healthy fats, vitamins and minerals thanks to the almond flour, coconut oil and fresh fruit. No reason to turn a bit away!

As you can see in the ingredient list, I used whey protein powder. This is a powder that is full of proteins. I use protein powder to get some extra protein so that I can optimally recover from sports. In addition, it is a perfect way to give baking taste without adding sugar. Protein powder is available in many flavors, from vanilla to chocolate (all kinds), caramel, bounty, coconut, cookies & cream and so on. If you only use it for this cake, then you really do not have to buy such a bag. Then sweeten the cake with honey or sweetener.

Recipe healthy cheesecake without sugar



  • 4 fresh dates
  • 150 grams of almond flour
  • 2 tbsp molten coconut oil


  • 900 ml Optimel Greek quark cherry (a different taste can also)
  • 200 grams of dairy spread light
  • 60 grams of protein powder taste cookie & cream. Other tastes can also. If you do not have protein powder, you can sweeten the cake with honey or sweetener. Add small bits and test if it is sweet enough.
  • Hand of fresh blueberries
  • 5 gelatin leaves
  • 2 tsp vanilla flavor

Strawberry layer

  • About 100 grams of strawberries
  • Little water
  • 2 gelatin leaves

Preparation of healthy cheesecake without sugar

Grease a cake tin and line the bottom with baking paper. Cut the dates into small pieces. Melt 2 tbsp coconut oil (butter is also allowed). Blend the dates, coconut oil and almond flour into the blender. Then pour this onto the cake base. Spread it well and press. Put this in the fridge for 10 minutes.

Filling healthy cheesecake without sugar
Soak 5 gelatin leaves for 5 minutes in cold water. Mix the cottage cheese and dairy spread in a large bowl. Add a handful of blueberries (or other fruit) here.

Heat 2/3 el quark (of the mixture) in a pan. Add the gelatine and let it dissolve. Remove the pan from the heat and stir well. Then add it to the rest of the curd.

Finally, add the vanilla flavor and the whey protein powder (or sweetener / honey) and mix everything well. Pour this mixture on the bottom and spread it well.

Strawberry layer
Soak 2 gelatine leaves in cold water for 5 minutes. Blend the strawberries with a little water in the blender. Pour this into a pan and heat. Add the squeezed gelatin leaves and let it dissolve, while removing the pan from the heat. Stir well and then pour over the cake.

You can garnish the cake with blueberries, strawberries, coconut and small chocolate speckles.

Leave the healthy cheesecake without sugar for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator. A whole night is also allowed!
