For father

Every day, tired or not, fathers expect everything: They have to be cheerful, ready for the whole family and have attention for everyone and everything! Often that also works! But they deserve to be put in the spotlight!

Hence a lot of attention on this page for all fathers!

Father's Day

Every third Sunday in June it is father's day. Father's Day is not a commercial answer on Mother's Day, as is sometimes thought, but a stand-alone tradition. Father's Day has grown to an important day in the family, next to Mother's Day.

Teen Fathers: Help me become a father!

You do not become a father alone

Of course, the Z-word has already fallen several times. The jar with folic acid pills has been pontifically on the washbasin for a while and the absence of any form of contraception shoots through your head at least once in every single party. But you were ready, right? Of course not. But you are not alone.

Father now versus father then

Imagine ... not being allowed to attend the delivery. Do not walk behind the pram because that is not male. Work hard and only in the evening and on Sunday time for your family. Above all, being a cost winner and then an educator. Do the fathers have it easier today than they used to?

Older fathers. Becoming a father at a later age. Challenge or exhaustion?

'What an energetic guy,' the woman remarks, laughing as she looks from her deckchair with pleasure at how a man is busy working together with a little boy to build a supersonic sand castle.

Poems for father

Part of you

Even though lived
I'm not in your stomach
yet I am
a part of you ...

Maybe you see it
already on my hair
or comes the parable
only after years ...
I am a bit of you ...
I love you, I love you

You could move mountains
if that was necessary for me
and nobody was there
just as strong as you ...
It was your arms
where I could experience security,
love and a protective side,
maybe something 'too'
during my teenage years ...
but that is no different because ...

... I am a bit of you ...
I love you, I love you

Your dad

Ten months back in time
I was gladdened by you mama
with the most beautiful news in my life
... we were given a baby!
So I built your room with love and diligence

Here you are now in my arms
you sweet little child of mine.
You can warm your dad
and later we will sleep side by side
with you in the middle and mom there ...

Papa will protect you every day
and take care of you with love
we have given you life in love
and your name is written in my heart forever

In letters and words big and small
I love to be your dad
